Hyperfore delivered a fully automated, customized pigging solutions and turnkey pigging project for a famous chocolate manufacturer in China. The turnkey project includes Hyperfore sanitary automatic pigging system, process design, automation system, on-site installation and commissioning, training, and technical support.

A chocolate manufacturer required to transfer chocolate liquid from two sources to a mobile trolley target tank. After using a rotary pump to transfer the product, significant liquid was left inside the pipeline, leading to product waste and a large amount of consumption of water and cleaning agent during the afterwards pipeline cleaning. Hyperfore’s pigging solutions effectively addressed the issues. Considering the chocolate solidified at low temperature, Hyperfore installed a hot water jacket one the pigging pipeline. Ensuring the hot water temperature between 40-50 Celsius, and keep the chocolate in a liquid state.

Pigging Solutions and Pigging Products

  • Supply Scope: sanitary automatic pigging system, pigging automation system, pipeline pigging products, like piggable elbows, tees, pig speed controller, pig tracking device, etc., on-site installation and commissioning, technical training, after-sales services.
  • The pigging pipeline length of the chocolate pigging project is about 30 meters. The pigging pipe size is ISO 1.5inch. We recommended to the customer 1.5 inch automatic pigging systems and one-piece pipeline pigs.
  • Automatic launching station features: The Inlet port is aligned with the bottom of the pig, ensuring minimal residue after CIP cleaning. The launching station is equipped with a pig-locking mechanism to prevent accidental discharge of the pipeline pig during pigging. It can automatically sense the pipeline pig status.
  • Automatic receiving station features: The receiving station is equipped with a magnetic induction switch for automatic sensing of pipeline pig status. It is integrated with a blocking rod within the main body to effectively stop the pig. It is equipped with an air supply device to push the pipeline pig back to the launching station.
  • One-piece pig can create better cleaning effect than lip pigs. But it demands higher requirements for the pipe installation and welding work. The welding surface must smooth and flat, it won’t cause any damage to the elastic surface of the pipe cleaning pig. 
  • The pig speed regulating system is equipped with an HMI for real-time adjustment of the pneumatic pressure, allowing for optimal pig speed. A back pressure unit is also integrated to prevent excessive pig speed to reduce the risk of pipeline pig damage.
